Omnitel upgrades network in Vilnius and Kaunas

Print versionLithuanian mobile operator Omnitel reported that it has upgraded its mobile network in Vilnius and Kaunas, telecompaper.com said.

The coverage of the network was increased by 15%, and HSPA+ and LTE technology was launched on base stations in the cities, writes LETA/ELTA.
New energy-efficient base stations have enabled the company to reduce power consumption by up to 40%.
