New car sales in Estonia grew by 8% in May

Print versionThe Estonian Car Sales and Servicing Companies Union AMTEL data indicates that 1,689 new cars were sold by its member dealerships in Estonia in May 2012, which is a growth of 7.9% from April and 7.8% more than a year ago, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

The most popular car brand was in May was Toyota with 305 cars, followed by Škoda with 167 cars and Volkswagen with 144.
Last year, car sales grew a whole 74% but mainly because there was an extraordinarily steep fall during the economic crisis.
The statistics of AMTEL do not reflect the figures of Renault and Dacia Estonian distributors.
