Tallinn was on of the first capitals which Lufthansa chose for its expansion to Eastern Europe in the 1990s, writes LETA.
With Sunday's midday take-off to Munich Lufthansa will double its daily frequencies from Tallinn to Munich and will connect the two cities twice a day with its most modern short-haul airplane, the Embraer 195 jet.
The new midday flight connects seamlessly into many destinations in Europe and Asia – the existing morning flight especially to the United States.
The frequencies will be increased from seven times a week to fourteen. With more than 35 million passengers a year, Munich is one of Europe's fastest growing hubs.
The originally launched Frankfurt route is operated daily with an evening departure and a modern Airbus A320 aircraft.
