In spring 2012, Turkish Airlines will start providing charter flights to clients of Estonian travel agency Goadventure but in the future the plan is to launch regular flights from Tallinn, LETA/Postimees writes.

There are two capitals in Europe where Turkish Airlines does not fly – Vilnius and Tallinn. "The issue is not whether to fly into one or the other capital, we are thinking about both," said the company's regional manager Melih Yaman, who visited Tallinn at the end of last week to discuss plans with Tallinn Airport.

Yaman did not say when exactly it would be possible to take a direct flight from Tallinn to Istanbul but said that if the charter flights are a success, the company's' interest is to focus on regular flights.

Tallinn Airport board member Erik Sakkov sad that negotiations with the Turkish are underway and not for the first time and hopefully they reach Tallinn one day.
