Chinese tourists get introduced to Lithuania online

Print versionAt the initiative of Lithuanian Embassy in Beijing, a new project to promote incoming tourism has been launched as China Daily website dedicated a special section to Lithuania with "Tour in Lithuania with Ambassador".

Around 31 million daily visitors of China Daily can now have a virtual trip in Lithuania, informs LETA/ELTA.
This is the first project of such extent to be made available in the Chinese language. The work on China Daily project "Tour in Lithuania with Ambassador" was started in late 2011. It aims at presenting different cultures, gastronomy heritage, sites of interest, opportunities of studying abroad and at the same time introducing foreign business peculiarities to Chinese audience.
China Daily filming crew also shot footage in Lithuania. Lithuania was the first country-participant of the project, to get presented to millions of Chinese users of the Internet.
