Stadler and Daugavpils lokomotivju remonta rupnica to cooperate in railroad development projects

Today, the Swiss company Stadler Rail Group (Stadler) and locomotive repair factory Daugavpils lokomotivju remonta rupnica (DLRR) signed a letter of intent on cooperation in railroad development projects in Latvia in 2012, according to DLRR's announcement at NASDAQ OMX Riga.

According to the letter, Stadler and DLRR plan to cooperate in any tender on procurement of electric and diesel trains in Latvia next year. This cooperation will refer to train manufacturing, assembly, servicing, post-sale activities, as well as commissioning and testing, writes LETA.
Stadler
Rail Group has branches in Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Hungary, the Czech
Republic, Italy, Algeria, and the United States. The group employs around 3,500
people.
Stadler manufactures trains, locomotives, rail cars, etc.
DLRR is the largest company in the Baltic States that overhauls and modernizes rolling stock – freight locomotives, passenger locomotives, shunting locomotives, DMU units, EMU units, and manufactures spare parts.
