Number of airBaltic passengers in January-April grew by 7%

In April, airBaltic operated 4,889 flights, or 21% more than in April 2010, when airBaltic operated 4,044 flights. Between January and the end of April, the airline provided 17,055 flights in all, informed BC Janis Vanags, vice president of corporate communications at airBaltic.
The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, in April 2011 was at a level of 74% – or 11% points more than in April 2010. During the first four months of 2011 airline’s load factor was at a level of 67%, or 5% points more than in the same period last year.
The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic was at a level of 91.2% in April 2011. This means that more than 91 of every 100 airBaltic flights in April departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
