Skyways launches flights from Riga to Gothenburg

Today, the Swedish airline Skyways will begin flights from International Airport Riga to the second-largest city in Sweden – Gothenburg, the airport informed the business information portal Nozare.lv.

The airplanes will fly to Gothenburg twice a day on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and once a day on Sundays. Passengers will board "Embraer 145" aircraft for flights that will last one hour and ten minutes.

 

On April 23, Turkish Airlines began flights to Antalya. A "Boeing 737-800" takes passengers to Antalya twice a week – on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The flights last three hours and 20 minutes.

 

As reported, International Airport Riga serviced a total of 4.66 million passengers in 2010, which is 0.6 million more than in 2009, when the airport serviced 4.06 million passengers.

 

Six new airlines started operating flights to the airport last year, flights on 12 new routes were launched.
