Number of air passengers on Tallinn-Kuressaare route increased by 9.4% in 2010

Estonian Airline Estonian Air in December 2010 carried 1,222 passengers on Tallinn-Kuressaare route, which is 34% more, year-on-year. In 2010, Estonian Air served altogether 14,711 passengers on Tallinn-Kuressaare route, which is 9.4% more, year-on-year, Estonian Air reports.

Estonian Air operated 436 round trips in the last year, which is 7.4% more, year-on-year.

 

"Growth in passenger number is coming mainly from the increase of demand for air travel among local travelers, also the share of transit travelers has increased in some extent. During the twelve months the biggest increase was achieved in July and December," said Rauno Parras, Estonian Air Deputy President Commercial. "Passenger growth was in line with our forecast, which was supported by an economic recovery as well as hot summer, " added Parras.

 

Estonian Air operates between Tallinn and Kuressaare nine flights a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

 

One-way fares to Kuressaare, if purchased via www.estonian-air.com, start from 15.6 euros, including all fees and taxes, and are subject to availability.

 

In 2009 Estonian Air carried on Tallinn-Kuressaare route 13 443 passengers, which is 13% more, y-o-y.
