The company’s management said in its report that in the first nine months of this year the company’s costs related with changes in railway infrastructure tariffs, rise in fuel prices, wages for employees with lower category wages, legal services increased.

In the first nine months of this year the company carried 13.772 mln passengers, which is by 4.6% more than in the respective period last year when Pasazieru Vilciens carried 13.163 mln passengers.

The company’s revenue from tickets in the said period reached EUR 15.076 mln, which is by EUR 765,800 more than in the respective period a year ago.

The capital investment in the first nine months of this year reached EUR 823,100.

In the first nine months of 2017, Pasazieru Vilciens generated EUR 49.462 mln in sales and earned EUR 796,167 in profit.

Pasazieru Vilciens is a state-owned railway company carrying domestic passengers in Latvia.
