In November 2017, 200,000 passengers passed through Tallinn Airport, 27% more than in the same month the year before, the airport said for BNS/LETA.

"The extraordinary growth was supported by flights added to regular routes and also the improved load factor, but at the same time the increased volume of charter traffic also had a big impact," marketing director at Tallinn Airport Eero Pargmae said.

The season of charter flights to Turkey ended in November and was replaced by warmer North African destinations. Compared with the previous year, the number of charter passengers traveling to Egypt doubled, and the Canary Islands and Morocco were also substantially more popular destinations. In addition, incoming charter flights from Norway also supported the growth in charter passenger numbers.

Passenger numbers on regular flights grew 23% in November, while 15% more seats were on offer than in last November.

Regular flights to 26 destinations were operated out of Tallinn in November, while 45% of all flights took place to five destinations - Frankfurt, Helsinki, Riga, Stockholm and London.
