Revenue of Estonian Alexela Oil grew by 11% in 9 months

The revenue of the Estonian motor fuel seller Alexela Oil in the first nine months of 2017 totaled 103 million euros, 11% more than in the same period in 2016, informs LETA/BNS.

Operating profit for the period totaled 3.3 million euros, broadly unchanged from the first nine months of last year, the company said.

Ain Kuusik, board chairman of Alexela Oil, said that the growth in revenue could be attributed to the increase in the number of filling stations and a solid increase in the sales of filling station stores.

"We are convinced that in the coming few years fuel sales will emerge as an auxiliary service on the fuel retail market, which supports the core business - the operation of filling station stores," Kuusik said.

Alexela is set to open its first filling station store in Jogeva county on Nov. 7 and an overhauled filling station store in Otepaa town later this month.

Alexela Oil is a company of Alexela Grupp. Of the company's 77 filling stations 24 operate also a store. The motor fuel chain of Alexela employs 150 people across Estonia.
