Klaipeda remains Baltics' No 1 container port

Klaipeda remained the number one seaport in the Baltic countries in terms of container handling in January through July 2017, the port's authority said, cites LETA/BNS.
The Lithuanian port handled 256,100 TEUs during the seven months, up 2.4%
from 250,000 in the same period last year.
TEU traffic in Riga Freeport increased by 13.89% to 245,200 and Tallinn posted an 8%
rise to 121,900 units. The Latvian port of Liepaja saw its TEU traffic double to
2,500 units.
Annual TEU traffic via Klaipeda went up by 12.9% in 2016 compared with 2015
to reach 443,300 units.
