Tallinn Airport's passenger numbers rise by 19% in July y-o-y

July 2017 was the second record month in a row for Tallinn Airport as 271,000 passengers passed through the airport during the month, 19% more than at the same time last year, informs LETA/BNS.

This has been the fastest growth tempo of the last six months, the airport said. The number of passengers linked with the Estonian presidency of the Council of the European Union made up an estimated 10,000 passengers of the total number of passengers who passed through the airport.

 

The number of seats being offered on regular flights increased by 20% and passenger numbers grew by 19%, while on average the flights were filled up to 77%. Regular flights in July departed to 36 destinations and the biggest number of passengers traveled on the Frankfurt route.

 

In relation to the holiday period, traffic increased significantly on the seasonal Odessa, Rijeka, Barcelona and Girona routes, the most popular charter flight destination was Antalya.

 

Altogether 258,000 passengers passed through Tallinn Airport in June, the number of passengers was 15% higher than in June 2016.
