BC, Tallinn, 26.07.2017.Print version
Telecommunications company Elisa in cooperation with its subsidiary Starman have launched a mobile TV service Binge, which will allow customers to watch live television or rewatch shows on a smartphone via the internet, reports LETA/BNS.
"The target group of the new service is predominantly viewers who
watch television over the air, live outside of town, but wish to have the same
kind of smart television experience that is offered in a cable network," Kertu Kriisk, head of new services at Elisa, said in a press release.
Kriisk said that the target group of the new service would be approximately
200,000 households.
Binge offers customers 25 channels, seven of which are Estonian channels
and include Kanal 2 and TV3, which are both set to leave free-to-air.
Binge is a solution meant for the television for domestic use, which also
includes two additional users for smartphones and tablets. Binge functions
regardless of the internet service provider.
