First registration of new cars up 13.4% in H1 in Estonia

The number of new cars registered in Estonia in the first six months of 2017 was 13,332, 13.4% higher than in the same period last year, while in June the number increased 33.7% on year to 2,666 vehicles, writes LETA/BNS.
In the first six months of the year Estonia was eighth in Europe in the
number of new cars registered, while Estonia placed fourth in June, figures
from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) show.
In the European Union, the registration of new cars increased by 2.1% on
year in June and 4.7% in the first six months of the year.
The number of registrations in the first six months increased most, by 27%,
in Romania, by 23.6% in Croatia and 19.6% in Lithuania. In Latvia, the number
of registrations fell 17.8% on year in June and 1% on year in the first six
months.
