Number of firms operating in Lithuania up by 4.7% in July y/y

Print versionNearly 260,000 companies and Lithuanian residents were engaged in economic activities on July 1, up by 3.8% year-on-year, Statistics Lithuania said on Wednesday, cites LETA/BNS.
Over the year, the number of companies operating in Lithuania grew by 4.7%
to 81,200 in early July, while the number of residents engaged in economic
activities went up by 3.4% to 178,300.
At the beginning of July, 91 operational companies and physical entities engaged in economic operations were reported per population of 1,000, while the number of companies was 28.
