Baltic Workboats sells 100 m ferry to Sweden

The boat builder Baltic Workboats based on Estonia's largest island of Saaremaa sold a 100-meter ferry to Sweden and the total construction cost was around 10 million euros, informs LETA/BNS.
"The cost was a little bit over 10 million euros, excluding VAT,"
a member of the board of Baltic Workboats AS, Juri Taal, told BNS. He added
that the company has never before built such a large vessel.
The ferry can carry up to 80 passenger cars and 297 passengers. The vessel
is powered by Volvo D16 motors and its maximum speed is 11 knots. The ferry
will be stationed at Lysekil port and it will serve local routes.
