She said that Economics Minister Arvils Aseradens  during a meeting with the Baltic and Nordic ambassadors on May 18 discussed closer regional cooperation and development aspects. One of the issues discussed covered closer cooperation in representations in foreign markets, including a possibility for Latvian start-up companies to join the Nordic Innovation House in the Silicon Valley.

Baltbarde said that the ambassadors positively assessed the opportunity to expand cooperation among the Baltic and Nordic start-ups that would promote further growth of the region and creation of innovations.

Nordic Innovation House is the Silicon Valley headquarters for the Nordic Startup Community and a collaboration of the five Nordic countries - Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
