Tele2 partners up with Vodafone to provide services to corporate clients in Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden

Swedish telecommunications operator Tele2 and British mobile operator Vodafone have concluded a partnership agreement to provide services to global and multinational companies in Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden, Tele2 representatives told BC.

Under the agreement, Tele2 will provide Vodafone with its network and services in Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden. Tele2 will also act as key account manager for Vodafone’s global corporate clients with headquarters or branch offices in Sweden, Latvia and Lithuania, countries where Tele2 already have well established customer relationships.


During the new partnership Tele2 will provide its multinational corporate clients in Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden access to various services provided by Vodafone Global Enterprise.

The partnership with Vodafone makes it possible to successfully cooperate with multinational customers where we help Vodafone with services in our markets in Sweden, Latvia and Lithuania while also taking part of Vodafone’s services globally. It is a partnership we really look forward to building together,” said Allison Kirkby, President and CEO of Tele2 AB.

This partnership enables Tele2 to develop services, using the partner's broad international infrastructure," said Valdis Vancovics, the head of Latvia's Tele2.


As reported, Latvian mobile operator Tele2 closed the first nine months of 2016 with EUR 78.25 mln in turnover, which was a 5.8% rise against the same period a year ago, while the company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) grew 6.1% year-on-year to EUR 24.53 mln.


Latvia's Tele2, founded in 1997, belongs to Sweden's Tele2 Holdings, which operates in nine countries. According to the company's representatives, Tele2 commands 45% of the Latvian market.
