Latvia’s national carrier airBaltic to start flights to Odessa in Ukraine

Latvia’s national carrier airBaltic will start flights to Odessa in Ukraine in the summer season, airBaltic representative informed BC.

The first flight is scheduled on March 26, 2017. The company said that the new route will offer a new summer holiday destination for travelers from the Baltics, as well as convenient travel options to Riga and beyond to destinations in Western Europe, Scandinavia, the Baltics, and the CIS.


airBaltic will fly from Riga to Odessa up to four flights weekly. airBaltic will operate a mix of Boeing 737 and Bombardier Q400NextGen on the route. The flight is scheduled to last two hours and 30 minutes.


Odessa is one of the largest Ukrainian cities by population and is located on the coast of the Black Sea.


airBaltic serves over 60 destinations from its home base in Riga, Latvia, and is already flying to Ukraine’s capital Kiev.
