Lithuania's Opera signs cooperation deal with China's theater chain

Print versionLithuania's National Opera and Ballet Theater (LNOBT) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China's theater network CPAA Theatres, informs LETA/BNS.

The agreement, which will include LNOBT into the International Theater League of Silk Road, which will allow large-scale joint projects and better artistic quality of cultural exchange, the Lithuanian theater said.
Cultural cooperation between Lithuania and China started in April with an official visit of Culture Minister Sarunas Birutis-led delegation of Lithuanian cultural figures to China.
During the visit, the head of LNOBT Gintautas Kevisas met with the leaders of the network of China's network CPAA Theatres and invited the delegation to visit the event 'Vilnius Festival" to get acquainted with the activities of theaters and concert institutions in Lithuania.
