Tallinn Airport's passenger numbers up 3% in April

Print versionThe airport of Tallinn served more than 180,000 passengers in April 2016, 3% more than in the same month last year, and 90% of flights departed on time, informs LETA/BNS.

According to marketing director of the airport operator Tallinna Lennujaam Eero Pargmae, the busy summer season started at the end of March and the number of passengers of regular flights increased by 7.6% on year in April.
"After Estonian Air ended its operations, an interesting market situation has developed in Tallinn Airport where competition for passengers is becoming stronger every day," Pargmae said, adding that it is useful for passengers as they can purchase cheaper tickets.
Airbaltic carried the most passengers in April, while the market leader in the first four months of the year is still Nordica.
Regular direct flights to 26 different destinations took place in April.
