BC, Vilnius, 26.04.2016.Print version
Scenes for National Geographic's film about US President Theodore Roosevelt will be shot in Vilnius this week, the Lithuanian capital's municipality said on April 25th, cites LETA/BNS.

The reconstruction documentary called "What Would Teddy Do?" will portray Roosevelt at the start of his political carrier, his influence and legacy to modern politics.

Vilnius will serve as the set for filming scenes of early 20th century events in the US and Panama.

The majority of the filming crew are Lithuanians. More than 100 jobs have been created in the city for the film, which is produced by the US company Castle Pictures and Lithuania's Baltic Film Services.

It is not the first time that US filmmakers have found 20th century Washington in Vilnius. The US television network ABC shot an eight-part TV mini-series called "The Assets" in the Lithuanian capital in 2013.
