Orlen Lietuva nets EUR 45 mln in Q1 revenue

Polish-owned Lithuanian oil company Orlen Lietuva posted a net profit of 44.8 million euros (USD 51 mln) for the first three months of the year 2016, up 9% from 41.3 million euros (USD 47 mln) a year earlier, informs LETA/BNS.

Sales revenue dropped by 24% year-on-year to 582.7 million euros (EUR 663 mln), Poland's Orlen said in its first-quarter financial report released on Thursday.

 

Orlen Lietuva's EBITDA for January through March fell to 51.9 million euros (USD 59 mln), down 29% from 72.9 million euros (USD 81 mln) a year earlier.

 

The refinery in Mazeikiai, in northwestern Lithuania, processed 2.385 million tons of crude during the three months, up 33% from 1.795 million tons a year earlier. It improved its capacity utilization by 24%age points to 94%.

 

The company's capital expenditure (Capex) amounted to 4.6 million euros (USD 5.2 mln) in the three months.

 

Orlen Lietuva last year turned a net profit of 208.3 million euros (USD 237 mln), versus a loss of 104.6 million euros (USD 119 mln) in 2014. Full-year revenue dropped by 33% to 3.64 billion euros (USD 4.138 bln).
