New car sales in Estonia climb 3.9% in March
In the first three months of the year, 5,428 new cars were sold in Estonia, 13.3% more than in the same period last year.
Small medium and medium cars continued to be the best-selling segments in March, totaling respectively 523 and 368 units. During the month, 121 cars were exported from Estonia.
The list of carmakers was topped by Toyota with 349 new cars sold, followed by Skoda and Nissan with respectively 213 and 198 units. The top three of models was made up of Nissan Qashqai with 119 units, Toyota Avensis with 75 units and Skoda Octavia with 89 units. In addition, 14 new electric cars were sold in March.
Sales of utility vehicles remained on practically the same level as last year and a total of 454 new utility vehicles were sold in March which is two units more than last March. The top-selling brands were Citroen with 71 units, followed by Peugeot with 58 and Renault with 16 units.
The truck segment was topped by Volvo and Scania with respectively 31 and 16 trucks sold.
