The Estonian state owned airline Nordic Aviation will open a seasonal route from Tallinn to Odessa, Ukraine in collaboration with Adria Airways in addition to the services of the summer season announced earlier, reports LETA/BNS.

"Odessa is a gem of the Black Sea and a port city with an exceptional cultural background, which is connected with Tallinn by long-term cooperation ties," Nordic Aviation Group CEO Erik Sakkov said in a press release. A flight of just over two hours will take clients of Nordic Aviation Group to the seaside city where they can visit the opera, take a stroll on Deribassovskaya Street or enjoy the warm climate on the beach.

Tallinna-Odessa flights will be performed from May 28 to Oct. 29 once a week on Saturdays and from June 22 to Aug. 24 twice a week on Wednesday and on Saturdays. The duration of the flight is two hours and 15 minutes.

Odessa and Tallinn are twinned cities since 1997.

Earlier this week Nordic Aviation announced the launch of summer flights also to Rijeka in Croatia and Edinburgh in Scotland.

With the new direct flights included, Nordic Aviation, in cooperation with Adria Airways, will run services to 16 different destinations this summer. In addition to Odessa, Rijeka and Edinburgh, the route network of Nordic Aviation includes summer flights to Paris, Nice and Split, and year-round flights to Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Kiev, Munich, Oslo, Stockholm, Trondheim, Vienna and Vilnius.
