Ryanair, Europe’s favourite airline, on 9th February celebrated its 5 year milestone at Tallinn Airport since it commenced operations in 2010. This summer Ryanair will offer customers in Tallinn a choice of 7 routes including Dublin, London Stansted, Barcelona Girona–Costa Brava, Milan Bergamo, Oslo Rygge, Bremen and Dusseldorf Weeze, informed BC Arune Jaraite from Ryanair’s marketing department.

Ryanair celebrated 5 year milestone at Tallinn Airport by releasing a seat sale across its European network, at prices starting from 12.99 for travel in February and March. These low fare are available for booking until midnight Friday (12 February).

The Irish Ambassador to Estonia, Frank Flood added his congratulations to Ryanair on its 5 year milestone and particularly welcomed the increase in direct flights from Tallinn to Dublin from just 3 months in 2014 to 7 months this year from April to October. There is a great deal of interest in Irish culture and Ireland as a holiday destination. Likewise, Irish visitors to Estonia are very impressed by Tallinn and the beautiful countryside and islands. Direct flights at a reasonable cost really help to promote bilateral trade and tourism to our mutual benefit.

Tallinn Airport’s Chairman of the Management Board Rein Loik said that cooperation with Ryanair has been a monumental success for the Estonian tourism industry.

“Tallinn Airport has served over 1.5 million Ryanair passengers during the last five years and according to our conservative calculations, the overall economic contribution of Ryanair’s passenger volumes to the Estonian tourism industry exceeds 100 million euros during this period,” noted R. Loik.

In Tallinn, Ryanair’s Sales & Marketing Manager, Hans Jorgen Elnaes, said:

Ryanair is delighted to celebrate its 5 year milestone at Tallinn Airport. Over the last 5 years Ryanair has seen an increasing demand for its routes at Tallinn Airport as customers in Estonia snap up Ryanair’s lowest fares to Europe’s top destinations including Dublin, Barcelona and London.
