Estonian Airest to start air services between Helsinki
"Agreements with the town of Pori have been signed by now and on February 1 we will start flying. We will fly until the end of the year, with a pause of two and a half months in the summer," Airest CEO Jaanus Ojamets told BNS on Friday.
There's plenty of vacant time in the timetable of Airest's sole aircraft, which the company is looking to fill.
"We will fly only on workdays and do one return flight then, after that there's a lot of idleness. For the start we wish to get a couple of additional flights every month. Some such flights have been ordered already, such as by sports clubs to fly to competitions," Ojamets said.
The manager added that under the agreements concluded in Finland the risks related to ticket sales and changes in fuel prices were borne by other parties.
