Port of Tallinn September passenger number increased by 2.1% y-o-y

Ports managed by the Estonian state-owned Tallinna Sadam (Port of Tallinn) serviced in September 709,271 passengers; as compared to the same period of the previous year, the number of passengers was by 2.1% higher and it was the best September result ever, the company announced LETA.

The total number of passengers in the first nine months was over 7.5 million people.

 

In September, traditionally the biggest number of passengers travelled on the Tallinn-Helsinki route, 586,495 people; on the Tallinn-Stockholm route 69,453 people and the Tallinn-St Petersburg route 10,672 people travelled. Cruise ships brought to Estonia 42,551 cruise tourists, forming 7% of the total passenger number.

 

In September, 59% of passengers were serviced by Tallink, 19% by Viking Line, 15% by Eckerö Line and 1% by St. Peterline.
