The airport serviced 191,955 passengers on regular flights and 25,784 passengers on non-regular flights.
During the first half year of 2015, 1,007,144 passengers were served at Tallinn Airport, that is over 80,000 passengers more than in the same period last year, the airport said. Passenger numbers have increased on average by 8.7%, and by 9.6% on scheduled flights.
The growth was caused by improved flight opportunities, airBaltic, Estonian Air and Aeroflot being the major contributors to the growth in available seats.
The average load factor on scheduled flights was 72% in June.
Two new seasonal routes were introduced in June: Barcelona (by Vueling) and Athens (by Aegean Airlines). The most popular scheduled flights were traditionally to Frankfurt, Riga and Helsinki, though demand to those hub airports was slightly down due to more direct connections. In total passengers could choose between 32 scheduled and 15 charter destinations, like Antalya (Turkey), Iraklion (Greece) as well as Varna and Bourgas (Bulgaria).
