Turnover of retail trade and catering enterprises in Lithuania grew by 4.3% in February y-o-y

Statistics Lithuania informs that, based on provisional data, in February 2015, the turnover (VAT excluded) of retail trade enterprises* amounted to EUR 601.4 million; against January, it decreased by 4.3% at constant prices (seasonally and working day adjusted – grew by 1%).

Over the month, the turnover of enterprises trading in food products decreased by 4.6, of those engaged in retail trade in automotive fuels – by 3.6, of those trading in non-food products – by 4.4% at constant prices. The largest decrease in turnover was observed in retail sale of audio and video equipment (16.6%) and electrical household appliances (15.3%) in specialised stores.

 

In February 2015, against February 2014, the turnover (VAT excluded) of retail trade enterprises increased by 4.3% at constant prices (working day adjusted – by 5%). The turnover of enterprises trading in food products increased by 1.3, of those engaged in retail trade in automotive fuels – by 13.1, of those trading in non-food products – by 3.5% at constant prices.

 

In February 2015, the turnover (VAT excluded) of food and beverage service enterprises amounted to EUR 34.1 million and, against January, decreased by 7.8% at constant prices (seasonally and working day adjusted – grew by 0.2%). Compared to February 2014, the turnover of enterprises engaged in the said activities grew by 6.7% at constant prices (working day adjusted – by 6.4%).
