Riga High Tech University collaborates with GSVlabs to accelerate Latvian startups in Silicon Valley

BC, Riga, 27.03.2015.Print version
Silicon Valley-based accelerator GSVlabs and Riga High Tech University (RHTU) (Riga, Latvia) announce today a partnership to accelerate Latvian tech startups in Silicon Valley.

The partnership between RHTU and GSVlabs enables further success of the RHTU Acceleratum acceleration program through a bridge to Silicon Valley. Selected startups will be given a dedicated workspace at GSVlabs for the duration of the program with access to all the benefits GSVlabs provides to its community members: reception services, 24 hour badge access, state of the art conference rooms, access to GSVlabs’ mentor network, and free access to all GSVlabs hosted events.

GSVlabs and RHTU will also collaborate on a Company Immersion Program. For 10 weeks, the Company Immersion Program places selected startups in GSVlabs’ Silicon Valley campus alongside other startups at GSVlabs. Each participating company will have an advisor and mentors onsite appointed by GSVlabs for the duration of the program. The accelerator curriculum will provide relevant knowledge with respect to business, technology, leadership and the culture of Silicon Valley.

In addition to the formalized curriculum, GSVlabs will provide informal methods of interaction with the Silicon Valley ecosystem through networking events, technology and business seminars, speaker series, company pitch presentations, and local tours of Silicon Valley points of interest.
