6,800 immovable properties were sold in February 2015 in Lithuania. This is by 13.9% more compared with January, reports LETA/ELTA.

A slight increase in sales activity is frequently recorded every February after the winter season. However, February 2015 compared with February 2014, there were by 21% less immovable property sales transactions.

Based on preliminary data of the Centre of Registers, in the second month of 2015 a total of 1,939 apartments were sold. This is by 25% more than in January. However, compared with February 2014, this is by 750 apartments less.

502 detached houses were sold in February 2015, by 3.5% or 17 units more than in January, but by 20% less than in February 2014.

Only 43 summer houses were bought in February 2015. This is one of the lowest figures throughout the decade. The decline in sales for a fourth month straight may be a sign of decrease in supply or decrease in buyer interest in this type of property.
