SAS returns to Riga Airport

'Scandinavian Airlines' (SAS) has announced its return to Riga International Airport, and from March 29 will be offering direct flights between Riga and Stockholm, LETA was informed by the airline.

SAS will offer 18 flights per week between the two cities – three flights per day on weekdays, and up to two flights per day on weekends.

 

From March 29, SAS flights from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Riga will depart at 8:25 a.m., 4:00 p.m. and 7:35 p.m. (local time), and from Riga Airport to Stockholm at 6:55 a.m., 11:10 a.m., and 6:45 p.m.

 

SAS will resume flights between Riga International Airport and Scandinavia once again after a seven-year absence.

 

SAS was established in 1946 and is a ''Star Alliance'' member. SAS offers a connections to 1,300 destinations to and from 193 countries around the world.

 

At the moment, airBaltic offers up to three flights per day between Riga Airport and Stockholm Arlanda Airport as well. Meanwhile, Irish low-fare airline Ryanair suspended flights to between Riga Airport Stockholm Skavsta Airport about a year ago.
