Latvia to present accomplishments of scientists and food producers in "World Expo 2015"

Print versionIn the international exhibition "World Expo", which will be held in Milan in 2015, Latvian scientists and producers will present their accomplishments and new technologies in the food industry, according to the Economy Ministry's report on Latvia's preparation for "Expo Milano 2015" presented to the government yesterday.

The report states that Latvia's concept relates to "Expo Milano 2015" sub-theme "food for a better lifestyle", which will allow to present Latvia as the country where products are produced in a clean environment, writes LETA.
Latvia's motto will be "the Bee Garden of Life". A bee garden was chosen since three of its components – bees, water and humans – are essential for the successful existence of humanity.
With its theme, Latvia plans to address such global issues as environmental protection, biological diversity, material and non-material processes and their interaction, ecosystemic thinking. Latvia's pavilion could become a perfect place for seminars and conferences on the said topics with various experts from all over the world.
