Huge interest in Riga IT conference "TechCrunch Baltics"

More than 220 conference participants are meeting at "Alberts" Hotel, the conference premises are packed, reports LETA.
Representatives from several IT investors and incubators read lectures at the conference, including one of the most popular and experienced Estonian investors, Allan Martinson, U.S. businessman Carlos Espinal, and many others.
Martinson said in his speech that the new Baltic startups must orient toward the global market from the very start. The most important task for such companies, that are just beginning to develop, is to find a way from the Baltics to international centers, for instance, Great Britain and the United States.
Eight new Baltic companies will present their projects to the conference jury and investors this afternoon.
Three companies represent Latvia: One is web-based infographic and data visualization tool "Infogram", created for journalists, bloggers, designers, data processing specialists, education and financial sector. Latvia is also represented by international call service "Pozitel" and digital retail platform "Sellfy".
Estonia is represented by GateMe, which helps event organizers to make up guest lists, energy IT company Priienergia and Pult, which helps harmonize content with a TV screen via mobile gadgets.
Lithuania is represented by BusyFlow, which integrates various productivity and cooperation tools, as well as mobile payment and loyalty system project "Mokipay".
The "TechCrunch Baltics" conference in Riga is the first such conference in the Baltics, organized by one of the world's largest technology blogs "TechCrunch" in cooperation with the incubator "TechHub Riga".
The conference will conclude with the official opening ceremony for "TechHub Riga".
