In total 37 companies and organizations from Estonia are to take part in EXPO 2020 in Dubai, which has been postponed until October 2021, informs LETA/BNS.

Next week, an online pre-EXPO event will take place at which the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research will showcase Estonia's experience in the field of digital learning, the representation of Dubai EXPO 2020 in Estonia said on Friday.

The head of the Estonian representation, Andres Kask, said that the world EXPO will be a new economic accelerator for all the businesses and organizations taking part in it.

"Most of the exhibitions and fairs of specific fields this year have been canceled, and at the beginning of next year they will probably not take place physically either. This has put the world EXPO in Dubai in a new light, which is demonstrated also by our companies' interest in the EXPO," Kask said.

Several of the companies about to participate in the EXPO have already presented their products at webinars of the Estonian representation of EXPO and also found business partners, with whom also the first contracts on sale and representation have been concluded.

The world EXPO will run from October 2021 to March 2022. The exhibits and design of the Estonian pavilion will be made public in January 2021.
