RB Rail AS Announces the Rail Baltica Project's Major Event of This Year – the Rail Baltica Global Forum 2017
The Rail
Baltica Global Forum 2017 is a key international Rail Baltica event of this
year on Rail Baltica economic potential, procurement regulation and
organization, as well as facilitation of suppliers' networking. It will address
strategic and tactical issues regarding the implementation of the “Project of
the Century” from a national, regional and EU perspective and will bring
together top executives and decision makers, rail, logistics and economics
professionals, influential politicians and institutions as well as potential
suppliers for the project from across Europe.
“Rail
Baltica project provides opportunities that must be seen today to be able to
use them tomorrow. It is a unique, large-scale and complex trans-national
infrastructure project to form the new economic corridor, which will closely
connect the North East of Europe with the rest of the Union. We can bring the
best ideas, practice and solutions together to link nations, people, and
places,” explains Baiba Rubesa, CEO of RB
Rail AS.
The first
day of the Forum will be devoted to discussing the potential of Rail Baltica’s
infrastructure as a catalyst for a new economic corridor. The Rail Baltica
Global Project’s Cost - Benefit Analysis for the Baltic countries will be
presented for the first time. In addition, the event will explore business and
passengers’ interest in not only the Rail Baltica project, but also other
similar projects of this scale in Europe. High officials and opinion leaders,
as well as industry representatives from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland,
Finland, the EU Commission and Parliament will participate. Participation at
the first day of the Forum is by invitations only.
The second
day of the Forum is planned as an Industry Suppliers’ Day with the aim to
gather suppliers from three Baltic states and beyond to both present the
Project’s procurement procedures as well as offer a networking opportunity for
companies to potentially forge alliances for the project. Participation of the
interested suppliers by registration only at the official events' web page www.railbaltica.org/forum.
