Head of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn leaves his post

Andrus Alber, who has headed NASDAQ OMX Tallinn for six years, decided that he won't compete for the post for another term of office, meaning that Friday is his last day in the job, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

"After two terms as the Chairman of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn, I have decided to take on new opportunities. The past six years were a highly interesting and challenging period for our company and I would like to thank all my colleagues and business partners for the great collaboration we have had over these years,” said Alber.

 

Andrus Alber was appointed as the Chairman of the Management Board of the Tallinn Stock Exchange in February 2007. In 2010, the Supervisory Council re-appointed him for the second three-year term which ends on February 8 this year.

 

Arminta Saladžienė, Chairman of the Supervisory Council of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn and Head of NASDAQ OMX Baltic Market, said that the selection process of the new Chairman of the Management Board of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn is ongoing and the appointment will be made in the near future.

 

While Alber leaves, Daiga Auziņa-Melalksne, Chairman of the Management Board of NASDAQ OMX Riga, was appointed as a new member of the Management Board of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn.
