Erkki Raasuke starts working in LHV management

Former head of Swedbank, Estonian Highways Board and Estonian Air Erkki Raasuke started working as LHV Group board member and LHV Pank and LHV Varahaldus council chairman on Monday, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

"Erkki is a well-known and highly valued manager in the whole Baltic Sea region's banking," said LHV Group manager Rain Lõhmus. "I have cooperation experience with Erkki since 1994 and I am sincerely happy that Erkki decided to continue in banking together with the team of LHV."

 

LHV Group board includes now two members, Rain Lõhmus and Erkki Raasuke. Lõhmus said that at the shareholders general meeting next year, he intends to make a proposal to be elected in the council of LHV Group, after which Raasuke will become the head of LHV Group.

 

Erkki Raasuke worked in Swedbank in 1994-2011, eventually as the whole Swedbank banking group finance manager, before that Swedbank's Baltic banking manager. He quit his job in Swedbank in 2011 to become economy ministry adviser working on the issues of state-owned companies in 2012. From June 2012 to this summer, he was Estonian Air council chairman, with the task of reorganising the ailing firm.
