Tallinn bourse had the worst January 2012 of four years

Print versionThe NASDAQ OMX Tallinn stock exchange index OMXT gained in January 2012 3.13% to 547.79 points, which is the smallest January increase of the index since 2008, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

In January last year, OMXT index grew by 6.64, in January 2009, by 8.43 and in 2010 a whole 44.82%.
4,536 transactions were conducted in January, which is the smallest number of transactions since July 2009. The bourse's trading volume was 9.27 million shares, the smallest since February last year and 45% less than in January last year.
The bourse's turnover fell by over two times in January year-on-year to 12.7 million euros.
