150 forged euro banknotes found in Estonia in 5 months

Print versionDuring the first five months of 2011, 150 forged euro banknotes were discovered in Estonia, writes LETA/Postimees Online.

The most commonly forged banknote was the 50 euro banknote – these account for nearly a half of all discovered forged banknotes.
A total of 37 1-euro and 2-euro coins that were forged were detected in five months.
Thus far none of the banknotes have been found to have been forged in Estonia.
