Riigikogu increased 2011 draft budget by 150 mln kroons

The money for this comes mainly from additional land sale where planned revenues were increased by more than 100 mln kroons as well as government reserve and digital broadcasting fees, said the committee’s chairman Taavi Rõivas.
The committee approved increases of allocations for example to the debt-ridden national symphony orchestra ERSO by 5 mln kroons, national opera theatre Estonia by 7 mln kroons and theatre Vanemuine by 5 mln kroons.
Estonian Olympic Committee will get an extra 13.5 mln kroons for preparations to Olympics and National Broadcasting 15 mln kroons to complete the design of its new building.
28.3 mln kroons extra was given to Väinamere Liinid which enables to cut the price of ferry tickets from mainland to Estonia’s largest islands Hiiumaa and Saaremaa by half for permanent residents of the islands.
Train and bus routes also get 20 mln kroons more subsidies that initially planned.
The third and final reading and final voting of the 2011 state budget takes place on Wednesday.
