According to Deputy Health Minister Janina Kumpiene, the State Tax Inspectorate will not charge interest on the arrears and the hopeless loans will be written off, informs LETA/ELTA.
The Government's working group, which addressed the PSD problem, also decided that the emigrants who declared their departure would be made exempt from the PSD fee.
Previously it was reported that there were about 200,000 PSD debtors. According to Kumpiene, about 70,000 people did not pay the PSD fee at all, and the rest of 200,000 debtors paid the contributions for at least several months.
