Lithuania and Russia join forces in fight against money laundering and financing of terrorism

The Financial Crimes Investigation Service (FNTT) under the Interior Ministry and Russia's Federal Finance Monitoring Service (RFFFMT) have signed a cooperation agreement with Lithuania.

The agreement signed on Thursday will help the services of both countries investigating financial crimes to cooperate in more efficient way when looking into money laundering cases and blocking the way for suspicious transactions in the future, reports ELTA/LETA.

 

It is hoped that this agreement will be a big push in the fight against organized crimes.
