Estonia: Tallinn's budgetary receipts hit EUR 776.3 mln in 2019

A total of 776.3 mln euros flowed into the budget of the City of Tallinn during 2019, equaling 104 % of the sum total budgeted for the year exclusive of financing activity, reported LETA.

Tax receipts totaled 507 mln euros, equaling 103.2% of the budgeted amount, spokespeople for the city government told.


Personal income tax totaled 467.2 mln euros, 103.4% of the sum total set out in the budget, land tax contributed 26.3 mln euros, 101% of the budgeted amount, and local taxes came to 13.5 mln euros, 107.8% of the budgeted amount.


Economic activity by institutions of the city yielded 91.3 mln euros or 105.7% of the amount budgeted for the year.


Other income totaled 2.13 mln euros, 98.3% of the budgeted amount. Subsidies from the state and providers of external finance amounted to 161.1 mln euros, equaling 104.7% of the amount set out in the cash flow plan. 


Investment activity by the city yielded 14.7 mln euros or 112.3% of the budgeted amount.


Disbursements made by the city during the year totaled 737.3 mln euros, 94.1% of the budgeted amount.


Outlays for administrative activities totaled 617 mln euros or 94.7% of the budgeted amount, outlays for investment activities totaled 101.1 mln euros or 89.2% of the budgeted amount and outlays for the payment of the principal of loans and financial leases totaled 19.2 mln euros.


The city's unencumbered financial assets as at the end of December stood at 92.8 mln euros.
