Debt of non-financial corporations in Lithuania has been growing at a faster pace than financial assets

The financial accounts data for Q3 2018 published today shows that at the end of Q3 2018, the financial assets of non-financial corporations amounted to €45.7 bn and were more than twice larger than their debt (€19.5 bn) informed Bank of Lithuania.

The annual growth rate of debt (11.7%) outpaced growth rate of financial assets (10.3%). 


Non-financial corporations borrowed mostly in the domestic market and their domestic debt amounted to €15.3 billion at the end of Q3 2018. The annual growth rate of the domestic debt was 10.2%. The annual growth rate of external debt was 17.8% and amounted to €4.2 bn.
