BC, Tallinn, 02.07.2015.Print version
The Estonian government approved on Thursday and sent to the parliament the law of amendments to the accounting law, the aim of which is to improve the quality and comparability of accounting information meant for the public and to reduce the administrative burden of micro and small entrepreneurs, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

"The bill will help smaller operators, in particular, because it enables them to reduce their administrative burden and to focus more on their core activities. The Annual Report is shortened and micro-entrepreneurs no longer have to present an activity report," said Finance Minister Sven Sester.

Sester added that the amendment improves the business environment, which is the basis for economic growth, while maintaining the quality of reporting.

When the bill comes in force, European Union Accounting Directive will be implemented in the Estonian law.
