BC, Tallinn, 30.06.2015.Print version
July 1, 2015 is the deadline for personal income tax returns and additional payment; based on last year's income tax declarations, 12,287 Estonian taxpayers have to pay a total of 3.3 million euros extra income tax, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

The Tax and Customs Board (TCB) informed in late May the taxpayers who have to pay extra income tax on the 2014 income tax declaration.

For private individuals who declared capital gains, or income derived from abroad, and for the self-employed, the income tax payment and the refund deadline is 1 October. By that date, EUR 23.5 million on the basis of 12,775 declarations has to be paid.

Last year over 665,000 people declared their incomes, of whom 96% online. Based on the declarations, EUR 95.2 million in overpaid tax was to be returned, which is 2.3 million more than the year before.
